The eco-lodge is in the heart of Thekkady (Periyar), adjacent to the famed Periyar Tiger Reserve. The Bamboo Grove Eco Lodge is the result of a revolutionary eco-tourism programme initiated for the joint management of the famed Periyar Tiger Reserve (PTR) in Kerala. Relaxt at the resort.

Day 2

Day 3: After breakfast relax in the resort and later after lunch proceed towards Jungle Inn,
The forest cottage at Kokkara, about an hour walk from the Forest check post is an ideal place to board two persons hoping to share the quietness of the jungle night. Here one could relax, read a book, listen to the cicada or simply watch the forests outside.

The high point of the programme is walking through different forest types at prime time when animals tend to be more active. One can watch troops of langurs, giant squirrels, etc., besides many birds along this stretch. Who knows, if the goddess of fortune blesses you, a tiger could come out of the bushes chasing a herd of sambar deer!

The check in time and check out time are 3 pm. and 9 am. the following day respectively.

Please note: Forest Department does not allow more than 2 persons here and also does not permit a stay for more than a night.

Day 4: After breakfast proceed towards Munnar and check in to Aranyaka Homestay (Judges Bungalow) at Munnar

Day 5: After breakfast proceed for a half day tour around Aranyaka and after lunch proceed towards Chinnar wild life sanctuary by 1.30 pm. Proceed for a 3 kilometer trek in to the Forest with guides and check in to a Real Tree House in the forest, likely to see wild animals around.

Day 6: After breakfast proceed for a forest trek for half a day with forest guides for sighting animals and later by 2 pm reach chinnar and later proceed towards Kallar and check in to Ela Ecoland, a Green Camp. Over night stay there.

Day 7: After breakfast proceed towards Alleppey and check in to a Heritage Home called Tharavad, the traditional homes of the landed gentry , the typical Kerala style home built by the renowned practitioner of Ayurveda, Shoolapani Vaidyar is a cozy destination to experience the vibrant natural beauty of Kerala and be one with nature. This multi-bedroom homestead provides a traditional Alappuzha experience. The Vasthu based construction renders an atmosphere of serenity and bliss. A stroll round the house feels like a tour of a lived-in museum; there's an abundance of curios and everything is properly ordered. The terracotta tiled roof with polished teakwood planks covering every room and the traditionally laid flooring mixed with proportions of burnt coconut kernel and egg-white is a natural room cooling marvel of yesteryears. Furniture made of teak and rosewood adds to the gloss of the native setting and is of antique value. The living room boasts of a collection of antiques in brass and wood. The wooden doors are no barriers to experience an exotic home-stay holiday, spiced up with typical Kerala hospitality. Succulent, mouth watering home-made food awaits you. The only deviation from this traditional living experience is amenities like modern bathrooms and communication facilities, but far enough away to escape the urban hum.

Day 8: After breakfast proceed towards Kumarokom in a Motor Boat and check in to another Heritage home, Tharavad Homestay, Kumarakom.

Day 9: Relax at Home stay for whole day. Overnight stay there.

Day 10: After breakfast proceed towards Kumblangi Village and check in to a Homestay called Kerala Gramam, is situated at Kumbalangi, a village 10 Kms from Fort Kochi - the heritage zone. The backwater lagoons surround this area. Large numbers of Chinese Fishing Nets which abound here greet the visitors. Do activities of your choice there, Overnight stay there.

Day 11: After breakfast proceed towards Kochi and get dropped there, Time for farewell. This magic Tour Ends.
